About
Mission statement
Subterrestrials Records was born from my roots in the '90s—growing up as a b-boy, immersed in underground hip-hop and rave culture. Map points, dirty warehouses, and graffiti were the backdrop. That era shaped how I hear music—I want it grimy, raw, and real. The name “Subterrestrials” (those who dwell beneath the earth) comes from that mindset: underground. Not surface-level. Not basic.
This label isn’t about perfection. It’s about chasing that feeling—the one you get when you hear a track and instantly know it’s something special. It hits you before you can even explain why. There’s a spark. A sense that the artist poured something real into it. That’s what I’m after—unpolished gems, music that’s raw, uncut, and full of soul.
I started Subterrestrials to breathe life back into that underground spirit—to support artists who live in the margins, who don’t follow formulas, and who make music that hits you in the gut before it ever hits a playlist.
We’re not here to chase trends—we’re here to create them.
